Gaia
also known as Gaea, Earth-mother
The earth-goddess and great mother, original holder of the Delphic oracle, whose form-giving forces pass through Amaltheia into all that grows. In the old age she still stood under the adversary, the daemon of Saturn, until Apollo's light transformed the ground.
Greek Gaia (Ge) — 'earth,' the primordial Earth herself.
